thank you for sharring your picture, however I would consider it a poor standard for competiton.
There are a few flaws with it
Im sorry to be critical but in my opinion
1)the head of the bird is out of focus,
2) the area around the face…"

I totally 100% agree ;-) But sometimes people want to achieve shots with effects that can't be produced by not retouching. Photography is an art. An art to make art. So when you see Photoshop as a tool to make artworks then I see no problem using it ;-)
