- About Me and My Photography Experience:
- My name is Rob Bishop. I have been involved in photography for over 40 years. During that time I also spent 15 years working in video production. My life in photography has evolved through shooting motorcycle and automobile racing; school portraits from pre-school through high school aged students; junior sports photography like football, baseball and wrestling; USA Olympic track and field events; a few weddings for friends; commercial photography for oil companies, produce growers, guitar manufacturers, retail stores; news stories for newspaper coverage; promotional shots for musicians and artists. During my 15 years of video work, I spent 8 years viewing the “good” and “bad” that life has to offer through the lens of a portable news camera. The many ways that death can occur, and the many ways that life can be made better. From airplane crashes, to junior special olympics, I have seen the extremes, and lived with the memories of both. I have won awards for the coverage of events like this, and the world has seen those events through my eyes. The feelings I have from both extremes continues to pull at my heart, and I hope to find a way to use my photography skills to make life better for anyone that I can.
