About Me and My Photography Experience:
Love photography, been doing it for over half a century. My favorite thing to photograph is "Nouns." If it's rusty, beautiful, has curves that stops traffic, bright colors, or clouded in fog, and everything in between, you'll probably find me photographing it.
My Photography Equipment:
Everything from Large Format to digital, lighting is "White-lightning," PC w/Photoshop using CS6 and mega plug-ins. I'm pretty much a Canon shooter with five DSLR's and a few lenses, and two "L" lenses.

What is your Oeuvre?

Posted on November 25, 2014 at 7:55pm 2 Comments

If you don't know what oeuvre is I would suggest looking it up. Someone once told me that the mark of a master photographer is having a large collection of high quality images within a given genre. Well I have that in several genre's and looking to fill a few more in the near future. No brag just fact - about 40,000 images of Venice, Italy as one example.

If you have a collection of images of one subject, is that collection noteworthy? What I mean is, do each of these images stand the…

Graffiti is it copyrighted when it's done illegally?

Posted on September 4, 2014 at 1:55pm 7 Comments

Graffiti is world wide, it's in every city in one form or another. Some is outstandingly gorgeous while others are sick and disgusting. My quest and query here is to engage in conversation with others the rights of graffiti producers under the copyright issue and my photographing the graffiti and selling it as a collective - hence not as just one image. An example would be in a book or even as a magazine article. I fully comprehend that they (the artists) own the copyright but since the…

Snapshot Vs Photograph

"I Love Photography" A Painters Perspective

Posted on December 22, 2012 at 9:15am 2 Comments

Hello fellow photographers,

Hot off the presses my new book on photography (from a painters perspective) has arrived. This book is not about F-stops and shutter speeds, it's about rethinking how we see - visualization. It starts with the human eye's physiology and ends with a wonderful intellectual chat on photography, with lots of information about color and seeing in the middle. This book is totally different than any other photography book you've seen before. Very few images, lots…
