Larry Abruzzo said… Mr.Larry i am a beginner and i couldn`t get what it means to limit your exposures to 2 or 3 per subject.
Can you please elaborate it a bit.It would be really obliging.
sorry for the late reply...been a lil busy...we are shooting with digital and we have a tendency to over shoot our subject, and this is just some thought for you to think about, but in doing so maybe we shoot and hope to get lucky, when we shot with film each exposure was thought out a little more for with each exposure we used up the film, be it 24 exposures or 36 exposures thats what you had on one roll of film. i am saying you try to limit what you shoot and develop your seeing eye....that is all...in the end, do what makes you happy. Merry Christmas my friend
Thank you Rohan, for your very kind comment and taking the time to look at my eclectic photos! lol
And it is John, Mr. Read was my father! ;-)
Steve Barr said… Hi Rohan, re my 'Swirls' image : the shot was taken in bright but not particularly directional sunlight, the shadows are cast by the density of the leaves themselves. From memory i believe i used Canons 'L' series 70-200 f2.8 L IS lens and i probably had a 1.4X Extender fitted as well. It was taken as a Raw file and cropped, various adjustments were made to the brightmess and contrast levels, sharpening was done via Unsharp Mask in Photoshop Elements. Hope this helps !.. you can't beat good light !... Steve.

I would be happy to help any way I can....we can learn together! If you have any questions, or if you want to know settings on any image I have I would be more than eager to share. I must say, though, I am learning as I go.
