I would gfo with teh Nikon D5000. Adorama has factory rebuilts for $525, 18-55 mm VR lens included. It has nearly the power of the D90, at a fraction of the cost.

To begin, just try the awesome Nikon D5000 :-) It has tons of great features! Easy to use and not expensive for such great quality DSLR ;-)

I've recently purchased a Nikon D90 which is a great camera with live view.

I love my Nikon d5000. I am new to digital SLR photography and it is pretty user friendly. Great choice!!
