Thank you so much. Romeo is a rescue dog. Was on his 7th day at a kill shelter. We were so lucky. He took to us right away. When I first saw him in his "prison cell", his fur was thin, falling out, he had a sinus infection which actually had bloody discharge, and his food and water were untouched. He weighed 70lbs. He is now healthy, as you see, weighs about 105, and is the most gentle GSD. Unless he sees other dogs, then he goes into defense mode. I think he was attacked at the shelter. He also has a police tatto in his ear. We adopted him in 2009. His rehabilitation is taking some time and is ongoing, as is ours. He is definitely a loner. Sorry to be so long winded, but his is a story that needs telling in this throw away society. My one veteran brother believes he was in iraq. Anyway, will be producing a documentary on rescue dogs and this seemed like a good starting off point as everyone here is talented and friendly.
