Some additional information I found in the internet...   What is the difference between the BR2 and BR2A Rings? The BR2-series rings are designed to allow a lens to be reversed and mounted backwards for close-up photography. The BR2 (older…

Hi Adam, you need to use continuous servo, dynamic area at 9 or 21 points - you can use various custom settings found in the menu.. Getting a fast shutter speed depends on the amount of available light, the aperture you have set and the ISO…

I was trying to explain the process of taking photos while subject is moving. "My boyfriend rides Motocross and I don't want to miss good shots because of a camera delay, especially if I'm paying as much as I am for the…

Why should you expect a fast shutter speed inside a shop where there is very little light? Without flash and the wrong ISO you will get the shutter speed you experienced. It's not a case of someone messing with the settings, it's a case of…

Go for a D90 girl, I myself own D5000 but as you said you don't want to miss out good captures on your boyfriends sports activity so, go for the most higher specs level of SLR. D5000 is only an entry level SLR yet there are other specs here…

Might I suggest a 50mm 1.8 with a "backwards" or reversing mount for your macro. The 50mm is a wonderful lens and is very very sharp in and of itself, plus with the reversing mount you can get very close to a 1.1 image. The unti is called…

Hi sara, check out some site that have some reviews on such lenses, i suggest bythom.com, and when you go visit your favorite camera shop, have you gear with you and check out those glasses yourself, then you'll be the judge yourself. :D

I have the 105mm f/2.8 and it is a great lens for most situations, works great in low light also, just my 2 cents worth!! For close up portraits and still life I use a 50mm f/1.4 in natural light.

For many years when shooting film, I used the old Nikkor 55 Micro for many things and I had the extension tube for it and a Nikkor Bellows with the slide duplicator attachment for it also. I did a lot of copy work with it and I took a lot of photos…

About Me and My Photography Experience:
I am pretty much an amateur. I take pictures and some turn out and some don't, its more a hobby than anything. I am going to be going back to school soon and thinking of minoring in Art for photography, but I need a SLR digital first since all the classes are going digital (yes I'm a 21yr old with a film SLR).

I joined this site to get a better understanding on what i'm good at and what i need to improve. I know most of my pictures aren't that great, as I've been doing this avidly for about 3 years now, and I hope people can give me constructive criticism to make me be a better artist.
My Photography Equipment:
I have a Nikon F65, 28-80mm and a 70-300mm lenses. I also have 2 filters, one is a Sunpak c-p-l that I honestly don't remember what it does, and a UV haze.
I also have a little point and shoot Fuji that I carry around with me for moments that catch up to me..that way i dont have to carry my monster bag.

I also just got a new tripod that's also a Sunpak. Its a 7500TM and is awesome. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I love it already.
Contact:
I have an MSN messenger that's email is dolphinchick12@hotmail.com

About the bike shot, It was with a D200 and a 80 - 200 F 2.8 "film" lens. At about 80mm. I exposed for the subject and added the sky later from another photo with Photo Shop. If your guy is going to do this take out Life Insurance now and soon you will much better equipment. Just kidding , I hope . This was a pro stunt ridder jumping from a steel ramp at a thrill show in Morgantown WV , Mountainfest rally. he was the fill in for a rider that broke his arm on a landing earlier in the day. Thanks for the compliment. John
