First edge:  25 X 300 = 7500 Second edge:  20 X 300 = 6000 Total pixels, 7500 columns of 6000 pixels = 7500 X 6000 = 45,000,000   at 240 PPI, it would take 28,800,000 pixels.   File size is the result of the actual pixels and…

Just came back from the sea .... spent the weekend in Jamaica. Amazing place! - took some photos but a bit disappointed with them. Congrats on the wedding in March. I'm not up to weddings yet, although I'm helping with one in June, at which time I will determine whether this is something I want to do. Enjoy the sea.

ooh... which course are you starting tomorrow? I'm currently taking advanced photography, and we are using the studio for portraits. It's difficult to adjust the lighting just the way you want it.

Hi Sharon, the photos look great - the black sheet as a backdrop works very well. Did you take these outdoors on indoors? your photos look so clear - that little girls really knows how to pose. Thank you so much for sharing these.

I agree studio equipment is expensive. Taking photos outdoors is a great idea - it's always more natural than trying to set up a studio inside. I'm taking a photography course at a college and this semester we concentrate on portraits in the studio - and it is always a challenge to set up the lighting to be as natural as possible. I like the idea of only taking photos outdoors but the problem with us here in Canada is that winter is so long, there is no way that we can take photos outside. Looking forward to seeing the photos that you've been taking outside with the backdrop.

thank you for replying. Looking forward to seeing more photos. You certainly are kept busy. When photographing friends and family, do you have studio equipment? I'm trying to see what I may need in terms of equipment if I opt to go that route as well. I too love taking photos, but mostly of landscapes. I would also like to get into wedding and portraits.

A nice capture, Amanda! (Although I would make my watermark a bit smaller, in my humble opinion.)
