Thanks for the add an the kind words Rachael! Perhaps we could do a collaborative shoot sometime since you don;t live too far from Columbus! Stay in touch!
My name is Shidoshi and I’ve been planning and booking shoots regularly since early 2008. I've been exploring a lot of different avenues to find my artistic “niche” – however, my deepest interest as a photographer lies in planning theme shoots and always having varied, original projects to keep me on my toes. Everybody has a camera these days and some of the regular people I just bump into on the street usually have camera equipment three times as nice as mine and looking like they have press access to photograph professionally at the Olympics (from a mile away with that massive telescopic lens), so technology these days clearly takes all the guess work out of taking a clear picture. The art of being a photographer really lies in what you photograph and when . . . as I believe it should be anyway!
My belief is that the key to taking great photographs is simply the ability to be in the moment. Of course that sounds ridiculously cliché, but there is a lot of truth to it. Once that level of comfort and communication is reached between the photographer and the model(s), it’s easier to read the perfect moments to click away and catch those elusive elements that make all the difference. The process is a form of meditation to me and so I promote myself as a “Zen Photographer”. As in all other aspects of life, a photographer has to find the harmonious balance of many crucial elements that compose a shot and weave them into passionate expression - otherwise you might as well stick to taking snapshots at family reunions and birthday parties with disposeable cameras!
I don’t, however, consider myself a professional as I haven’t received any formal education and am still learning a lot as I go, but I DO consider myself a committed and dedicated photographer who understands his models and his/her/their potential well enough to create art. The finished photograph has to convey the moment of cohesive realism between the subject and the photographer just as much as it coveys expression of emotion in any other sense.
It is important that the model's experience with Fatal Halo is a memorable and relaxed one. From family portraits to senior pictures, weddings and celebrations to artistic erotica and themed shoots, Fatal Halo Photography is very much an artistic experiment in photography that will evolve solely on the experiences that are facilitated by the models, subjects and events that I shoot.
Please enjoy the pictures I am proud to share with you and I hope they impress and inspire you. Thank you to all my models who have generously allowed me to post pictures from their shoots and to all those who have yet to book with me.
All wonderful shots Mike! I love how you used the rule of thirds in your first shot and left room for the clouds. Very dramatic! I do understand how the lighting on those mountains can be breathtaking and capturing it is can be so…
I can't say I have anything in this category but I look forward to seeing other's work. In a hurry to go to work! Bon jour!
PS These frogs are a little different! Cute!
