Thanks, Keith! This photo was taken near the southern entrance of the park, which means it's actually in the Colorado Desert (not the Mojave.. need to remove that tag!). As you know, those rocks are a dull brown during the day, but at sunrise…

That is a very nice image. I really like how the tips of the plants touch the edge of the moon. Where in J-Tree is that? The rocks are very red, I'm guessing around Queen Mountain? Reminds me of one I got at Panamint Valley from a wider…

Thanks, Andrea!! Two things made this photo possible: 1) overcast sky (helped with balancing the light) and 2) polarizing filter (removed the reflections on the water/rocks) ... also I used a slow shutter speed (4 seconds) to get the water to look…
