Macro Photography - First Attempts

As I've always liked macro photography, I decided to try my hand at it and picked up the Nikon 105mm (AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED). Slightly impatient to take this lenses for a spin, I threw it on my D300, grabbed the dog and headed out the door.

no problem i like your photo, there very sharp. I have a question the nikon D300 is about the same price on amazon as the Canon 50D, with the 50D it only has 9 point autofocus but D300 has like something around 51, do u think that comes in handy…
