This might be considered cheating, but the piece of equipment I want the most is my own studio, I'm pretty happy with my camera right now, and my lenses do alright but what I really need is an actual studio area. Second I would either want some…

Well after a lengthy time of research. I will not be replacing my 18-70 kit lens. Seems the 16-105 & 16-80 lens is no better quality wise. So spending $800.00 is not worth it. So now I will concentrate on the 11-18 wide angle. The a900 is out…

Well, the new Hassleblad H4d (http://www.hasselbladusa.com/promotions/h4d-launch.aspx) with 3 or 4 lenses would be nice! But, my Santa List for this year is short -- the new Canon 100 f2.8 L IS USM macro for "handheld" 1:1 image captures…

I doubt a 10mm lens would need focus -- it would have DOF from a few inches to infinity.

What is wrong with popup flash? Ditto with direct printing? (I confess I use the flash now and then but never the direct printing or many other features but I don't mind if others can use them.) Unless I am mistaken, the 7D allows any number of…

YOU ARE NUTS! Well, that is the opinion of someone who used to have a B&W and color home darkroom -- I will take LightRoom over a Bessler enlarger every single time!

First Canvas

Yesterday, my first canvas conversion arrived!!!

I had a photo converted to canvas for a client's office wall.... and I love it!! It reminded me of the first time I had shots professionally printed. They "feel" so different in your hand, and the feeling of them being "real" photos is inspiring.

Tooting my own horn!

It's so hard to get exposure, pardon my pun, as a non-portrait photographer.... I was recently denied admittance to an amateur show b/c they said "you're clearly a professional...."
