Hello Tapas,
Hmm.. a good camera under $555.... that's kinda hard because a lot of good cameras should go beyond $555. But i could suggest a Nikon D40x or a D60 which is good for an entry DSLR. They cost more than $555... i think that you should save more. ;-D but aside from the nikons, you might want to get a Canon too, like the 400D or 450D. They're good ones too and have almost the same specs w/ the D60. Well, goodluck! ^^

in 25K you will not be able to go for SLRs....i will recomend u to get a semiautomatic cameras...like those of sony....it's better if u ger H50 of Sony cybershot.....this camera u can manupulate a lot with Apperture and shutter speed....this camera plays a good role in night shots too....all the best 4 pujo...u will get good shots there...
