no, that does not sound silly, i use my husbands shop lights too, i bought a lightbulb used for refrigerators for the shop light and it gives off a softer light, I will use your idea for adding tissues!

Thanks for the comments on "cheating or Art". The pretty much summarize how I feel about photography. Simply recording an image to bring back to share with other people doesn't satisfy my artistic side and often as you say, i expect to convey more emotion than the original image presented. I don't think that we can expect people who are not photographers to understand this, but I don't think we should necessarily care either. That you feel good about your creations is the important thing in my opinion. Keep on doing what you do best!!.

Returning your query about the Canon S5. This camera has many shortcomings or advantages, depending on your point of view. If you are accustomed to using a point and shoot and try to use this camera that way you may be in for somewhat of a disappointment. In my experience with it, it seems to gravitate to the higher ISO ratings if you don't use the flash which I rarely do. This tends to create an excessive amount of noise for my taste. On the other hand, the camera allows so many custom settings that your can set according toyour personal preferences that I like the possibilities that this camera offers. I bought it for the ultrazoom lens and the ability to set exposure compensation, saturation, and contrast in camera, saving a lot of time and effort in PP. Having spent the major part of my life using film, I don't think this camera will be able to produce the results that I used to get with professional films that I have used, but I don't have to store it in the refrigerator or carry it in a cooler. I feel That I have a considerable amount of tweaking to do before I take It to Alaska in September, but I'm confident that this is the camera I am going to be comfortable with. It or the user guide is not particularly user friendly for someone who has been using a point and shoot, but it is manageable if you take it one step at a time. This is probably more than you wanted to know but that's me. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need more info.

Hi Teresa~
For the rainbow pattern on the CD, there is nothing tricky actually, for I was just holding the CD in one hand and camera in another, and continuously adjust the angle until it was like that.
You can also try it if interested.

Thanks for the comment on the lighthouse at Diamond shoals NC , on an island off the coast of NC. It can only be reached by boat or by Ferry That Runs from Harkers Island. It has been one of my favorite places to go by boat. It has a great harbor where you can camp or sleep on your boat.

my... I have been so busy I haven't got to see anything here in a month. We had to remodel the living room, my son turned 4, we went to the firehouse, and it snowed here for the first time this season! It's been pretty busy, but hopefully it'll slow down a little now
