hello Everyone

i wonder why people like to buy this type of camera instead of a another one

1)Is it because of what the press writes ,or is it the price tag ,or the quality of the pic ,or its the same camera you had when you where a kid ,please lets all write something and enjoy .

2) What is for you the best photo magazine on line here

Greeting from Belgium

Albert

Thanks for your enthusiast comment Tibor. I just had my new entry level dSLR three weeks ago. The 10 recent post I did here were made by Nikon D3100 with 18-105 VR Lens.

All the other photos otherwise were done with Sony K800i camera Phone.

I am not offended at all. I appreciate that kind of feedback. That's the kind of feedback I need. Its only going to make me a better photographer. Thank you.

Hi Tibor, in the photo "River Front 8" The short answer is downtown Detroit, MI USA. The main building in the cityscape is the General Motors headquarters building. The Cityscape is of downtown Detroit, MI, USA. It was taken from Windsor Canada at the Riverfront shooting across the Detroit River.

This Image was not about the Sky or land or there relationship but about the tree and how it was made to look small by the vastness of its surroundings Both the huge space above and the collection of small grains below Both completely different textures and dynamics but equal in there dominance of the tree
Therefore in my mind it was important that the sky and land be of equal size to create the tension between them and the tree I still think that although the tree is much smaller in this composition its central position still makes the image about the tree .

Considering I have been in photography all my life Run one of the North of Englands largest Studios and made enough money in this industry to retire at 45, I consider myself to be professional. And as a professional Can tell you rules are there to be broken 1/3 2/3 is a good starting point But true creativity was never achieved by following rules ......Luckily others share my view as this was a featured shot !

It's a Nikon D3. I absolutely love this camera. I've owned and used many over the years (Canon especially) and now back to my Nikon.
