Nice, sharp focus throughout - did you use a 20 or so mm wide angle? The image would have also been nice in the daytime with likely aqua and deep blue colors. I wonder how it would look with a cross filter effect or in sepia, since it is almost…
hi, it is not me it is a model, I dont post pictures of my self online due to the fact there are still people and would rather not see the gypsies around at all, and I would prefer them not knowing what I look like - due to a still get the looks on…
Aloha Jamie, your family should be proud of your great efforts to illuminate their stories over generations. Your profile photo is mesmerizing. It it you, or a model? Is the eye color enhanced or natural? I'm also on Twitter as drwesyoung - now…
Hi Sandra, it's always good to challenge oneself at the edge of your abilities. Clearly, your subject for the nude is gorgeous. I do like black& white/sepia - it brings out form/texture. In your next session with your model, try some…
Hi Lisa, looking at your portrait again, I wondered if you yourself have done any modeling? I love to shoot someone with blond hair with backlighting (either from a slave flash in back or, better, with golden sunlight from a Hawaiian sunset…
Aloha Lisa, I'm glad your friend had a chance to enjoy the islands. I'm a great tour guide to Hawaii as well. Any plans to come out this way? We'd roll out the red carpet for you! Wes@heal.us www.PHOTOGRAPH.us drwesyoung on twitter.com
Hi Nathan, thanks for your kind feedback. If you like F-15s, I have some great stories for you. As the chief flight surgeon for an F-15 unit for many years (always flew with a camera or two in the back seat), I have about 50 hours of flight time in…
My camera is a surgically attached appendage. While I have the "mortgage lens" in a suitcase and all the film cameras as well, I'm a firm believer in the truism: "If you aren't carrying the camera...you won't get the photo."Hence, I carry a 13.6 Cybershot & enough 8gb memorysticks/spare batteries to document the Titanic going down. I do bring out the big stuff when shooting for a traditional magazine and have been featured twice in NatGeo magazine (once as a centerfold). I am a freelance writer and photojournalist as well and have taught photography off and on for decades. My interests of late include fine art photography, travel photography, fashion photography, and portraits. My claim to fame had been as a top aviation photographer, having been on staff of Mach1 photography for over a decade with many hours in air to air photo shoots and of aerial combat from the backseats of F-4, F-15, F-16, A-7, etc. jet fighters. I also write poetry which entwines with simple, original images. I continue to work as a civilian flight surgeon and shoot from many civilian aviation platforms. As a single Dad, I've taught my 10 year old son to be a good photographer - better than most amateur adults.
My Photography Equipment:
As mentioned, have full array of Nikon equipment & lenses as well as Sony prosumer equipment for hiking, the beach, etc. In the market for a point & shoot waterproof, all-weather camera - Hawaii lends itself to spontaneous photo shoots with our incredible, warm and rich light.
hi, it is not me it is a model, I dont post pictures of my self online due to the fact there are still people and would rather not see the gypsies around at all, and I would prefer them not knowing what I look like - due to a still get the looks on a day by day basis, that clearly say you shouldnt be here...anyway my twitter is gypsyheritage
