I've been taking photos all my life but have never been particularly serious about it. It's been a fun and sometimes challenging hobby, that adds another dimension to my travels. I've had the time (and money) in the last few years to update my camera and lenses so am now trying to learn how to improve my creativity and techniques.
I post many of my photos on http://karlum.wordpress.com/
My Photography Equipment:
canon 30D, 650D, several lenses and a small Panasonic Lumix

"Well done on getting your first SLR. One of the best things about digital is that you can take a wide range of different exposures of the same scene and lots of different angles of your subject while you learn what looks best - and the…"
"Thank you for the kind comment and advice. I see what you mean about the light - will try a crop but may also do a version with a bit of burning and just darken the area to retain the shape of the back. I had to crop the image a bit…"

Thank you for your kind comments Kurlim! I am so pleased you have enjoyed my abstracts. I was pretty much self taught in merging, but I am presently taking a course which has helped me a lot so far! I look forward to watching you progress and it will be interesting to see what pictures you choose to work with! Good luck! If you have any questions please ask! Cheers1
I'm flattered and humbled with your sweet words about my images. I sent you a friend request ... I see you're a Canon user, wahoo! I have a 20D and 50D with a 10-22, a 17-85, and a 28-300 lens. Viva la Canon.
