I think it's because those whose pics are showing up are using the pic icon to embed their pic in the reply, others are using the upload files link which makes the pic an attachment.

thank you Don, the building was vacant and I was doing a before and after shoot with the designer, when he was looking out the window I managed to get this shot, and then added my own twist on it.
