I bought a really good pair of shoes, some moisture wicking shorts and shirt, and painted racing stripes on my fat behind. For some reason, I can't seem to go fast enough to win a race. What am I…Continue

Some of you may have noticed, some may not, but when people post pictures now.. there is a little "Like" button. It is not a "Love" button or a "Let me have your baby" button. Just "Like". No…Continue

There was a time, not too long ago, that I enjoyed seeing images in "Selective Color" - most of the photo in black and white while some select portion is in color. Maybe it was because the first few…Continue

Thanks Papa Rotzzi for your true and honest feedback. It is people like you who really help me grow as a photographer. Oh and I love what you said above about the nerd in the back of the class room and everybody wants to copy off his paper---Hilarious and so true!
Cheers, Tracy
Hey Papa.
Got out yesterday and tried out my new E-30 camera. The links below will take you directly to them on the Picturesocial Network. If you have time I'd appreciate it if you could take a look and give me your absolute honest opinion of everything about the photos.

Thank you have a great week.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into the Olympus Pen series. I understand that some DSLRs are water resistant with the right type of lens. I hope the Pen are like that but if not, they still could work. I've a lot of wet weather in Utah. When it doesn't snow, we have freezing rain. Plus I love the outdoors. Still, there's cases I can get. I don't know how much better an Olympus Tough 810 is than my current camera for quality. I am going to definitely look into the Pen though. I like what I see so far. Thanks!
Thank you for the encouragement. I appreciate it!
Thank you for the reply. That was kind of my suspicion as well, but when I ordered this lens, I couldn't find any mention of it not working well with the e-510, so I was hoping maybe I was missing something.
Alright, since you offered help with Olympus products....
I just got an Olympus Zuiko 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 Lens. I was expecting it to be faster and better in low light (and by low light I mean the standard indoor incandescent lighting in my house) than my 18-180 f/3.5-6.3 Lens. But this lens seems to be worse in low light. I am having to bump up the ISO to 1600- which on my camera (E-510) shows a lot of noise, and slow down the shutter speed to below acceptable (in my opinion) or use flash. I've upgraded all the firmware on my camera, and I can't think of anything I could possibly be doing wrong. I read a lot of great reviews on this lens, the pictures are sharp and the focus incredibly fast, but I can't help but be a little disappointed. Do you think I'm doing something wrong?
Thank you! I actually do have a question or two about my new lens, which I'll send along later (after work!). So nice to find a fellow Olympus shooter!
