I shoot soccer under the lights at iso 128,000 (Hi1) on the D700 and it is clean, virtually noiseless and brilliant. The 6400 iso is also excellent....get one...it is worth it...why wait? Indoor hockey from 1600 to 2400 is knock your socks off…
Myself also...I find that if I have my camera in hand and go step by step I can do it...retain it maybe not. Repeating the steps necessary to perform a function it starts to sink in...eventually. It is just the type of learners we are. Knowing that…
Started with an Instamatic at 16 and bought my first Pentax Spotmatic 500. Jumped to Nikon F2 Photomics in the early 70's. Studied journalism and photography. I have worked as a photographer for almost 40 years and still shoot something every day. Always trying to learn something new. Sometimes old school is the way to go and other times I bang my head on the desk...
My Photography Equipment:
Nikon digital. Four bodies today D300, D2X and D700 and D7000 just purchased...and a bevy of lenses from 10mm fisheye to 500mm Sigma.
This is the reason I joined PictureSocial to be inspired and learn. I am certainly going to learn following your photos, comments and website.
I think I read something about you somewhere .... positive of course...and how you shoot weddings with one goal in mind and that goal is to provide only the very best. I think it also mentioned something like ...watching you work with multiple cameras hanging from your neck ... was like watching a master.
Okay, I'm starting to feel like Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story when he pulls out his lips and puts them against his backside and says "both lips". However, I am very sincere.
Holy Moly! Being a photojournalist must be synonymous with anonymity! I don't recall ever hearing your name before but when I reviewed some of your galleries at life.com, I realized your images are woven into the fabric of our lives! Fabulous!
If you ever visit Maui County (includes Lanai and Molokai), lets spend a day bumping around in an SUV!
I hope you will spend a few hours a week at PictureSocial commenting, reviewing, offering advice and tips and sharing more of your slice-of-life images! Welcome aboard!
