One thing I did is make sure that the color management is controlled by the printer and not the software. Click on File>>Print>>Color Handling box>drop down box and lick on "Printer Manages Color." make sure it doesn't…

Your colour space is sub optimal for your printer, which is sRGB. 'Convert to profile' for sRGB and then give it another shot. If it's still a problem look at your colour settings and try Colour Management off. It should work just…

Try proofing your colors. Also see if your printer has any color management turned on...if so turn it off, because it will mess with the colors. The same thing should apply when you take it in to be printed, tell them you do not want any color…

Also make sure the settings when you print are set to Photoshop to control the print and not the printer software. I have had this a few times and I have no idea how the setting gets altered.

Sounds like a printer calibration issue and not a monitor issue. Last time the nozzles where cleaned? Try taking a file to a local film place. have them print an 8x10 and see what you get.

Is the only change calibration? I find prints are always darker than slides, or a monitor. If you are using calibration equipment, you should calibrate the printer too?
