我所知道的西藏 The Tibet I know about

04年曾有幸前往西藏一游 I have been there in the summer of 2004

特出当时的片子如下以为纪念 Now I would like to share with you the photos taken there for memorial reasons

也算是回应当下在那片土地上的发生的事情 And as a response to what is currently happening on that sacred land

1. 布达拉宫 Potala Palace

“我看到了魂牵梦萦的布达拉，雄伟的让人很有五体投地的欲望。” ——《藏域纪行 拉萨篇》

"I saw Potala Palace that I have always been dreaming of, it's so magnificent that I want to oNZ in front of it."

2. 六字真言 The six syllabled mantra.

释迦牟尼佛云：“此六字大明陀罗尼，是观自在菩萨摩诃萨微妙本心，若有知是微妙本心，即知解脱。”

Shakyamuni Buddha states, "This is the most beneficial mantra. Even I made this aspiration to all the million Buddhas and subsequently received this teaching from Buddha Amitabha."

3. 经幡 Prayer flags

五色的经幡上写着经文，人们相信风会把祝祷传播到各处。

On the prayer flags prayers and mantras are written; people believe that wind will spread the blessings to all.

4. 白塔 White pagoda

不知这斑驳的白塔承载了哪位先贤的智慧？

I wonder whose sacred wisdom this pagoda has been holding.

5. 山岗顶上 Peak of a hill

“远处，水天相接。雪峰云雾缭绕。” ——《藏域纪行 纳木错篇》

"Faraway the lake stretches into the blue sky. Surrounding the snowy mountains are purified clouds and fogs. "

6. 图腾 Totem

我一直相信，那里的信仰体现了一种人与自然的和谐关系。

I always believe that the religion in that place represents a harmonic relationship between man kind and the nature.

7. 长明灯 The eternal lights

每一盏不灭的光明，便代表了每一个美好的愿望和祝福。

There is a good will in each of these never-extinguished lights.

8. 晒佛 The unrolling of Buddhist banner

“一时间烟雾缭绕，香气扑鼻，梵呗声声……佛像就位，随着众人的欢呼声徐徐展开，佛像的眼神中充满了悲悯与安详，静静的俯视着脚下的芸芸众生。” ——《藏域纪行 纳木错篇》

"......The giant thangka is slowly unrolled in the cheerful hails of the surrounding people. There is peace and mercy in Buddha's eyes, looking at his followers gathered around his feet."

9. 大昭寺金顶 The gilt roof of Jokhang

“大昭寺至今仍是宗教圣地，每天都有大批信徒前来朝拜。……在此看到一路磕长头而来的朝圣者，也遇到大批对着寺庙的方向行五体投地之礼的信徒。” ——《藏域纪行 拉萨篇》

"Nowadays Jokhang Temple is still the most sacred temple in Tibet, with swarms of believers coming all the way from all parts of the province everyday. ........"

10. 美丽屋顶 Beautiful Roof

藏族人一定非常热爱生活。因为只有热爱生活的民族，才能拥有如此美丽的屋顶。

Tibetan people must be a group has great passion and love for life. For only with such virtues, are people capable to build such a beautiful roof.

11. 玛吉阿米 Makye Ame

玛吉阿米是传奇的喇嘛仓央嘉措心中最美丽的梦。

Makye Ame is the most beautiful dream in the heart of the legendary lama Tsangyang Gyatso

12. 通麦天险 The dangerous road of Tongmai

“通麦天险，是川藏线上最危险的一段依山傍水凹凸不平的土路，通常情况下只容一车通过。” ——《藏域纪行 林芝篇》

The dangerous roads of Tongmai is one of the most horrible part on Sichuan-Tibet Highway, with the capacity of one vehicle in parallel in most places.

13. 赛马会 The horse racing gathering

赛马会上是年轻人炫耀马技赢得姑娘芳心的绝佳场合。

The horse racing gathering is a great chance for guys to show off horsing skills and win a girl's heart.

14 娱乐 Entertainment

藏族人民的快乐生活。

The happy life of Tibetan people.

15. 姑娘 A young girl

“没完没了的姑娘在没完没了的笑。” ——《回到拉萨》by 郑钧

Forever girl, forever smile.
