So.... me and my dreams

I've been inseparable with my grandpa Nikon coolpix for 4 years but 2 years ago I realised that i really want to make a step forward and thought of LCR camera. Since than I have conquered some aspects of Photoshop, i tried hard making my pictures meaningful and 'telling people the stories'. I'm head over hills in love with photography so I think the time to buy my dream has come. I've decided to stay loyal to Nikon and my task was quite easy - to choose the camera of this brand. I consider buying Nikon D200, I've read a lot about it, i held it in my hands, felt its "magic" and adored it. What is left? To work hard and save money. But there is still one question, a huge one i should say. I was seduced by e-bay's offers to by a camera+lens+filters+flash+bags for quite low prise. And i can't fully trust such offers. But I won't have enough money to by all this gadgets in the store anyway. Should i succumb to temptation and order it on e-bay or go to the store? Another difficulty is - i'm going to spend this summer in the USA and i have absolutely no idea whether is it o'key to by in the internet, or where do people buy photo technic there.So ... if anyone reads it, please, tell me your opinion. I'll be grateful

I'll be living for 3 month in Ocean Springs, MS and then I really want to travel. I want to visit Grand Canyon and LA but I'll think of it when i get to the USA =)

If you are buying something like a camera, you should make sure that the person you are buying it from has a good track record and is dependable.

Beware of very low prices on the internet, they usually add on surcharges so they aren't the lowest prices after all, plus they will probably try to sell you insurance which is where the really make money. often if you won't buy insurance, they will be suddenly out of stock. Ebay is also to be used with great care, as some items are used instead of new, which OK if you are aware.
