Baby-steps: Garage

Hello again sports fans....

Well, there comes a time in a man's life when he just has to say:

whatthehellIdidntthinkthegaragewasthisdirty!

Yeah, so I spent the first day of my new year gutting, errrrm, I mean cleaning, my garage. My intention is to treat and paint the concrete, redo the walls, setup backdrops and vualah...my very own portrait studio. =D

I got rid of so much useless stuff it wasn't even funny. I took my tripods, lights, reflectors, and newly constructed softbox out for a test run. Aside from it being cold (note to self...get a heater in there), it worked out great. There is a lot more room than I anticipated.

Tomorrow I am taking a trip to the hardware store to acquire the needed parts to build a backdrop stand (and maybe a backdrop if my friend is working at the printshop). With a touch of luck, I will be able to do some good test runs tomorrow night in my new studio. =)

I already have a few people waiting on me to get it built, so hopefully it will start paying for itself really soon.
