Its all about perception and focus.
Use your other non dominant eye to compose a photo. You'll see it not only from another angle but a different light.
It will trigger your mind to pay attention to the detail. Sometimes we look at life the same way everyday and images just lay on the paper. Use the other eye to make them pop.

I'M NOT SURE I FOLLOW. IF WE NORMALLY TAKE IN A SCENE THROUGH THE RIGHT EYE (LITERALLY), THEN WE SHOULD TRY FOCUSING WITH THE LEFT?
