I have been a freelance photographer for over 17 years, but never really kept much of a record of most of my images. I'm at a point where I really want to break out into the photography industry. I believe I have 'enough' skills to create very nice images, but I'm still a bit nervous in taking that final leap. I do have a registered business in MD as a photographer and have had a handful (literally) of paying clients that enjoy my work.
I guess my main concern is how do I really keep it all together? I know that I need more structure and organization when it comes to storing my images, as well as a client database but have no idea where to begin. This will be my first attempt at really trying to make it as a photographer as a full time income (albeit, still working another full time job!).
What advice could you provide that will allow me to get things organized, as a photographer, as well as other helpful tips that you have learned over the years?
I know I'm missing a ton of information, so please point out what I may be missing in my explanation and questions if you see it.
Thanks so much for your help.
