Steps  to improve :

1.Think first what your going to capture if your planed to go in a park for macros , insects, Portraits. double check you have the right gears with you or Minimum Required elements

2.Always Clean your lens / Body with Cleaning cloths, blower before and after the shoot , and shot with tripod ( This will helps to get a clear & crisp shots )

3. Always plan to shoot in right light and the right time .Early morning for macros is a perfect time due to haze and cold the insects are freezes,  evening Golden hour is good for portraits

4.Try to use a professional gears don't go with cheap quality lens & equipment's or save money to get

5.If you are smoker try to quit its good for health and can avoid shivering  while you are in shoot particularly if you are doing lens reversal for macros

6.In day time try to take always ISO 100 for max in case if you want to go above  go for max ISO:400 , it will helps to cut off the noise

7.Think creatively try to improve in your composition at least take 5 snaps of the subject . you can realizes what and where your doing mistake. and check the light fall direction

8.If you are shooting in Day time set your White balance as " Daytime " for most time i prefer to use this WB

9.Practice makes perfect . So do explore you will learn lot and check articles ,blogs, Magazines about Photography

10. And try to shoot in RAW mode.  in post process you can fix all issues at one place ( WB,Exposure,Highlights,Shadows, etc....)

All the best my friend. And sorry for my Bad English.
