The Photography Network - PictureSocial

High-Dynamic-Range Photography creates stunning photos by combining three or more photos of the same subject that were all exposed differently (often a normal exposure with a half-stop up and another with a half-stop down).

That's funny Megan, I got bored after work and sun was setting fast and it has been raining. So I thought I try some bracketing then hdr the shots off my balcony.. see my attempt on my page. :)

In times of analog photography (When my old Nikkormat FTN still worked) I used reversible colour film (instead of negative colour) to shot my pictures because reversible film had more "latitude": the ability to extend it's sensibility range from dark to light zones in the same picture keeping gradation and saturation healthy. I haven't tested HDR (yet) but it seems to me that the concept is clearly related, isn't it?. In using B&W or negative colour film I used the normal, over-exposed and underexposed approcha too.
