How to Create a Mosaic or Montage Effect

Breaking a picture up in to lots of small squares sounds like a strange thing to do until you see the results. This tutorial will show you how to turn a single image into grid of overlapping photos. Often referred to as the David Hockney effect you'll learn some useful techniques including how to make a custom grid and some great layer handling tips.

What a grea tutorial, and very timely - I had been searching for a similar tutorial from issue 32 of Photoshop Creative that I lost, and presto, Gavin's turorial. Fab!

Janna, For the wedding photography in particular, I am comfortable with 10mm-22mm lens because of groups and confined spaces and it also costs around $800.  For your question in particular, I used TAMRON and SIGMA, found SIGMA slightly better.…
