I got my new lens!!!! I'm so excited, like a kid at xmas!! The camera store called yesterday at about 2pm and I work an hour away from the camera store so I had to beg my boss to let me leave an hour early from work so I could race to the store and get it before they closed since today I'm leaving straight from work to go to Orlando. I was so frustrated though when I got home because I had so much to do I really couldn't play with it like I wanted to! The bad thing for me now is I'm really wanting the new Canon Rebel XSI 12.2 camera body and how great would it be to have the two cameras on my shoulder ready to shoot instead of having to change the lens everytime! Problem is after spending the $600 for the macro lens do I really want to buy the new camera base at another $900 pop?
Now I am really new to photography in the way of having a SLR camera with multiple lens so I'm wondering and asking those who have been doing this for awhile, how do you manage so many lenses and changing them for an event you want more than one for? I have a great universal lens thats a 28 to 300 that I use for pretty much everything, I have 6 other lenses that are all cheap small lenses that I never even use (got them from a friend) and now of course my macro lens that I'm dying to use. Now I'm going to Epcot for the flower festival so I know I'll use my universal lens the most but will eventually want to find something to use my macro for but with all the people and crowds is it going to be a real pain in the butt to change them out when I need to and have my friends wait on me or is it best to have another camera body so I can just shoot when ready?? I see people with two cameras all the time and I know any more would probably be silly but just wandering how others would prepare for the trip and what would be in your camera bag?? Keep in mind I only want to carry the bare minimum!!
