That is a loaded question. Those of us who like Canon will of course say Canon. the Nikon users will do that same with Nikon. To be honest with you, I think it is all in how it feels in your hands and how you like the menus, buttons and knobs. Go to a dealer that has both and play with them. See how they feel and which on feels right for you.
Yeah I am more concerned with image quality though, I know ease of menus is a factor but I can adjust to just about anything real quickly, thats why image quality is all im worried about.
One of these does not stand out better? Or are they about the same quality wise?
I actually just decided after reading a bunch of reviews on the Sony Alpha 200 because it is cheaper, seems just as good and uses all the older minolta lenses that go for cheap now.
I myself a Nikon user would say that... it's up to you where you're more comfortable with. Yes, the camera might be a little identical, but why don't you try using both and find which camera fits for you.. =]
