Super macro or ultra zoom?

Added a post Jun 13

I will hazard a guess here since I use both Super Macro and Ultra Zoom on florals. The lilies on the left are Super Macro (DOF) and the lilies on the right are Ultra Zoom. In both cases the lilies... Read More »

Posted the majority of National Park Photos

I downloaded many images from the laptop (there are 2,000 taken on my trip). I've tried to be selective about what I post but there are so many good ones that reveal the majesty, variety and beauty of the National Parks. I'll take a break before posting the last of the…

So Far a Marvelous Adventure

I left home on 6/19 for the wedding of Grandniece, Shannon, in Winnemucca. Spent the 1st night at Hunter's Motel (Geyser Hot Springs), OR. The usual drama, Mother of the Bride sprained her ankle with the cake still waiting to be finished for the afternoon reception. Xrays at the Hospital and the reception went on with a less than perfect wedding cake. Saw my nephew Ken for the 1st time since 1983, same with my ex-brother-in-law. Used Friday afternoon to clip Minnie the Schnauzer. After the…

Purging Photos

When I couldn't sleep early this morning I got up and purged 2 dozen or so photos that I did not deem worthy to share with you all. If you see activity that says I added photos in April, just ignore it as the site doesn't know how to deal with Editorial Activity like that. I will probably continue to whittle down the Portfolio to the truly interesting and artistic pictures and throw the chaff to the winds.

Mother's Day 2008

With my daughter working in California I didn't hope for much this cold, damp day in the Pacific NW with sun breaks so occasional to be non-existent. My good friend Willa invited me and Chris over for Brunch and conversation then I came home to slave in the kitchen and maybe fix myself a special supper (Crab Newberg crossed my mind). Around 2 p.m. Chris called and asked if I wanted to go into Portland and visit her son at Reed College. He'll soon be taking a break off and leaving for Indian…

Looks like you had an amazing trip - I really enjoyed going through your photo. I missed you, and wondered where you were - but the wait for more of your photos was worth it! Wonderful!

Thanks, I saw this on the ceiling ,it was beautiful, the whole ceiling was covered in glass, David's was mixed with old collectibles in colors ,it was quite spectacular. It was very dark and could not use flash. (I got nailed by one of the guards) I went to automatic and Voila!
