About Me:: Moved in April from Vancouver Canada where I have lived for the last 10 years to Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Married to a actor Kasper, no children but two cats.
Work as a financial controller for a public company in Mobile data solutions business.
Enjoy phogography (obviously), skiing, cooking and DIY.

What Photography Equipment do you Use?: I have a Olympus E-510 which my DH got me for Chrismas 2007
Haven't got any extras yet but then that is what BD are for!

Paris - Aug 2008

Well everyone, we went to Paris for the weekend (Aug 1st to 3rd 2008) to join our friends Leslie and Alex, from Vancouver who were visiting there. A great time was had by all with much walking about taking photos as both Leslie and Alex are keen photographers. Although they are still using film but I think I have persuaded Leslie that she has to change to digital. At 10:55am on July 1, 2008, Rachel Michaels said…: Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I can't promise to be here all the time as I have just started a new job and moved not only house but countries but I will try and check in at least every week.

I only got my SLR camera for Chrismas so I have much to learn. I certainly don't understand all the technical stuff and tend to just take what I think looks good or interesting. I hope to develop my understanding so I can take better pictures and in my experiance joining a group of enthusiasts is the best way to do this.

I hope to get to know y'all over the next weeks and months.
