About Me:
Older photographer. Technical Writer, Reliability Engineer, Research Associate...Univ. of Maine, plus other work. I would like to be a great photographer.

Favorite photographer; Ansel Adams, who said "black to white are infinite shades of gray". His photo's are just that.

My start in digital photography was a clunky HP 215. Soon migrated to a Minolta F100. Then a Kodak P850 which was a very good camera. Now I use a Canon and am learning its functions. My work runs from black and white photos of any subject, to nature, geology, animals, flowers, seascapes, landscapes, people doing what they do, and minerals.

Favorite photographic area. in the woods, Alaska, British Columbia...Yukon Territory and Newfoundland, Canada and anywhere there are good subjects THAT PLEASE MY EYE.
What Photography Equipment do you Use?
Kodak P850 which was a very good camera,
Canon Rebel EOS XTI.

Hi Elmer what is this bit to me that your not a specialist. You are a photographer with a passion and that makes you a specialist. And I happen to like you photo's. You want to see some of the punk ones I take . well you can't because I delete them. and I am not good with a camera, can't do manual and don't understand setting shutter to iso and all that stuff. But who cares. I am a specialist in what I love. every one is a specialist in what they do. It is not how good you are it's the passion Elmer and you have the passion for clicking. I am going to pst you a funny picture of me , it's a real laugh. It or they are when I first started 2 years ago with a Canon 520 or about that number somewhere I ended up gving that camera to my Grandson. Now keep your eyeballs on the board I am about to go in and post the picture.
