Photofan since I was 14 years old, have had plenty of years of analog fun with my Canon 1000F/N and bought a simple compact digital camera a few years ago, but it just wasn't the same.....so last year I decided it was time to buy myself a proper camera and bought myself a Canon 400d. In a year's time I have bought a few new lenses and even started up my own business as a parttime photographer, doing all sorts of projects...which I really enjoy. My dream is to be a fulltime photographer some day, but most of all I would like to have more time making beautiful shots. Being a working mother I sometimes have the feeling I miss out on so many beautiful pictures..... : )...driving to work I sometimes see such beautiful scenery I just want to skip working and go and find that one shot that makes my day. But hey...who knows..maybe someday...............................
My goal is to make at least ONE nice picture every day....(I'm getting there)
Aww, thanks Tamara that means a lot to me b/c i am trying to be the best, and sometimes it doesn't feel like im going anywhere in photography but thanks and i LOVE your photography.
Nice work Tamara, I'll add some comments to the shots but i also wanted to leave a general comment :) I am definitely adding some of your shots to my favourits.
Tamara, in short I think you'll find the 40D to be an exceptionally good camera. It is so flexible and user friendly. I love the results I have gotten with it so far. The menus are well laid out, all of the controls are easily accessible without really having to move your hands all over to find what you need. Their are several user custom controls, and you can even set (3) presets where you like them, then all you have to do is turn the dial to the desired settings, and voila...the camera is immediately set to your preset desired settings...for example I have one set to the sunny 16 rule...another to shooting under low light..etc...just pick it up, feel it and I think you'll be convinced. Good luck and let me know
Tamara, Thanks. Being from Holland is a wonderful thing. Now, people from other countries can learn through this medium what the rest of the world looks. That is what makes this site so good. I have looked at your wonderful portraits. My goodness, we look alike. It is our scenery and the use of our eyes that make us unique. This site, which I have belonged to for only a few short weeks is so great for introducing us to so much. The more I take part, the deeper my understanding is about photography and people.

you've taken great pix.
I had an XTi until recently. I bought the Canon 40D. I really like it and am glad I upgraded.
