My friends and I have a kind of tradition: every year on Easter holidays we travel to one of the countries, which we are hardly choosing during the year. Travelling during Easter is quite convenient, because there are four guaranteed days-off (well, at least in our country), the dates are known and if you manage to book your flight and accommodation in advance - some 5 or 6 months before - it is quite cheap, cheaper comparing to making all preparations in a last day. I once had a boss from Riga, Latvia. He had escaped from the Russians and walked with a limp from a gunshot wound, Oscar Hercs, long dead now. Thanks to Oscar I attended a Latvian Folk Dance Festival in San Franciso, CA, back in the 60s. That was before I got into photography, unfortunately.

Yurick - Glad to see that you have hade time to get away enjoy the hobby, I'm Amazed at the quantity of photos you posted, and I know that you didn't post everything you photographed. It's always a pleasure to see your work, it's always such high quality. I hope to get away at the end of the month and do some serious photography myself.

Thank you again for sharing pics in Barcelona. The angled shot showing the face relief on the wall was awesome. I do have a couple questions. What type of lens and settings did you use for the aquarium shots? The last time I took some aquarium pics, I had only mediocre success. Yours are so colorful and sharp. I will be going to Chicago's Shedd Aquarium and maybe one on the Mississippi this summer . . . your advice will be appreciated.
