Where are you from?
Don - Ohio Tracy - Ontario Currently living in Ohio
About Me:
We are semi-professional photographers that enjoy all forms of photography and creating images via Photoshop. We got married in 2007 and one of the many things that we share a passion for, is photography. We enjoy helping each other learn and be creative.
What Photography Equipment do you Use?
Tracy generally uses a Canon 10D.
Don generally uses a Canon 30D.
We use all Canon lenses which include a 17-40 f4, 28-135 IS, 70-200 f2.8 and a 50 f1.8. When using the flash we have a Canon 580 and and a 550.
When printing we print our photos on a Canon Pro 9000.
Sounds like we are an ad for Canon, Don bought his first Camera a Canon AE-1 in 1977 and he has been in love with Canon ever since.

What a great community ! We're thrilled to be able to share with so many talented photographers. Please do not hesitate to share your ideas and thoughts on our work. We truly believe that is the only way to learn.

And please know... that if we forget to thank you, we didn't mean it !! Everyone here is so supportive, it's hard to be sure to get back to everyone.

My first Memorial Day

Hi everyone. I would like to share my experience. Yesterday was the first Memorial Day I've spent in the United States. I've seen the annual concert on PBS many times, and I've always loved watching it. But I've never experienced the emotion I did yesterday when Don and I stopped by the State Veterans Cemetery. It truly was overwhelming to read the headstones and contemplate the history laying before me. Don't get me wrong... it's not that I never " felt " before. I did. I showed my patriotism…

got a new toy for our birthdays !

Ok, so Donnie and I purchased a new toy yesterday. We picked up a lensbaby. Made for a fun shoot at the local park. Everything is in bloom, very pretty. So we got home, very excited to see everything up on the monitor... only to find my focus isn't all that I thought it was ! He was sweet, and reminded me that everything takes practice.... Does anyone else have one, and is willing to share some words of wisdom !? Tracy

Hocking Hills Park in Ohio

Hi everyone ! I just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for the wonderful comments on our new series of postings. A few have asked where this is.... This is Hocking Hills Park in central Ohio. Jadeast recommended it us after he and I had chatted a bit about where I live. It is absolutely worth the drive if you are in the area. There are many wonderful photo ops. thanks again for your support and kindness ! Tracy

Hey Tracy Thanks for you comments. I didn't know non of the kids in the pic. I take the only kids I know is my daughter. Some parents ask for a copy of the pic. and I send them via e.mail some don't even know about it. it's legal as long that the photographer doesn't use it for child pornography.

Thank you so much for your input on shooting less masculine subjects. I took what you said and in fact, your words were what inspired me to take a drive down to downtown Fort Worth to shoot the city night shots. Thank you so much for all your support and for taking the time to give me your honest opinion and input. Have a great week and a happy 4th! Look for some HDR fireworks coming soon!
